With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ariel Sidro in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulo Gabon saved River Plate from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ariel Sidro in the 37th minute of play forced River Plate's goalkeeper Paulo Gabon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olmos AFC's Dalmacio Vistruario proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Olmos AFC from getting a goal against them. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

52 minutes into the match, River Plate's goalkeeper Paulo Gabon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clemente Diagur. Nicolas Rio missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 62 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Paulo Gabon right hand side. Ariel Sidro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Paulo Gabon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ariel Sidro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Gabon having to interfere. Dalmacio Vistruario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leon Suero in the 91st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Ariel Sidro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olmos AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ariel Sidro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo Gabon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Olmos AFC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because River Plate had won, even though Olmos AFC had held more of the ball.
