The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ambrosio Johans showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Nunez Mattin came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Senillosa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nunez Mattin couldn't finish the play. Gabriel Pancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manuel Tolino during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 81st minute Julio Mambru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ambrosio Johans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Mambru might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ambrosio Johans. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Julio Mambru ran back to his position shaking his head. Ambrosio Johans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Fonso in the 85th minute of play. Gregorio Rafe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ambrosio Johans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julio Mambru in the 92nd minute of play. In the 96th minute, Gabriel Pancho fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
