Spectators: 7174 (Terracing: 5414, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 100) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Maximiliano Che made the kick off which started today's match. After a defensive mix-up in River Plate's zone, Maximiliano Che stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Gabon came out of the goal and Maximiliano Che tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, River Plate's Paulo Gabon got control of the ball when Valentin Dodorol tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nicolas Santiago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ceferino Fidensio in the 16th minute of the match. Paulo Gabon stood somewhat misplaced when Valentin Dodorol came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 23 minute. Bernabe Inguma kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leon Suero in the 32nd minute of play forced Hannover 1985's goalkeeper Nicolas Santiago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valentin Dodorol's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Paulo Gabon skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ceferino Fidensio was the one to do the kick off. River Plate's Paulo Gabon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Che in the 58th minute of play. Paulo Gabon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Che in the 60th minute of play. Paulo Gabon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentin Dodorol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rdth minute of the game Maximiliano Che who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but River Plate's Paulo Gabon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Maximiliano Che received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Paulo Gabon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claudio Cebrian charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Claudio Cebrian the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of River Plate booed when Hannover 1985 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudio Cebrian didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benedicto Gabrio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 68th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nicolas Santiago. Hannover 1985's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After having played for 70 minutes, Maximiliano Che managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hannover 1985's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximiliano Che was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 78th minute Maximiliano Che shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Gabon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
