Leocadio Toranzo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maximiliano Che's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Aráoz's Ricardo Ibar couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 74th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Hannover 1985. When Valentin Dodorol fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hannover 1985's protests and gave Valentin Dodorol a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Hannover 1985 getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Valentin Dodorol hit a great ball. Leocadio Toranzo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentin Dodorol, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Aráoz eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
