The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 9th minute of the game. One of Provoleta FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Juan Manuel de Rosas:s goal. Cristo Leoncio went to the wrong direction when Benigno Jusepe was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Pascual Ruisko was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Tomas Rio. A collision led to Juan Manuel de Rosas getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Ivan Bladi hit a great ball. Samuel Ponce recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 26 minutes into the match, Provoleta FC's Sergio Quin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pascual Ruisko narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Samuel Ponce managed to get in a good position for a shot. Provoleta FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Samuel Ponce was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pascual Ruisko breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Samuel Ponce struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Pascual Ruisko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Provoleta FC. In the 36th minute Gavino Sabino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristo Leoncio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristo Leoncio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugo Tab, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hugo Tab to strike the kick off in the second half. Juan Manuel de Rosas's Hugo Tab got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Hugo Tab had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Samuel Ponce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Pascual Ruisko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fulgencio Calvino charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fulgencio Calvino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fulgencio Calvino hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Tomas Rio's late challenge caught a Juan Manuel de Rosas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomas Rio helped the player get up and apologised. In the 65th minute, Tomas Rio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71st minute, Hugo Tab fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Juan Manuel de Rosas's Pascual Ruisko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Ponce in the 73rd minute of play. After having played for 76 minutes, Samuel Ponce managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Provoleta FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuel Ponce was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Fulgencio Calvino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute Samuel Ponce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pascual Ruisko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Provoleta FC's goalkeeper Cristo Leoncio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gavino Sabino. Silverio Vergaray sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Juan Manuel de Rosas's goalkeeper Pascual Ruisko, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Samuel Ponce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Pascual Ruisko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Samuel Ponce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juan Manuel de Rosas's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
