The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Osvaldo Ibañez fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pagancillo FC's protests and gave Osvaldo Ibañez a yellow card for diving instead. In the 27th minute, Osvaldo Ibañez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ricardo Roldanillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaac Eguen having to interfere. Niceto Gentza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bonifacio Goi's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. After 69 minutes, Cesar Gaufred mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gral. Mosconi F.C and the Pagancillo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 69th match minute, Gral. Mosconi F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesar Gaufred to maneuver through the defense. Carmelo Gilabert struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Pagancillo FC's Bonifacio Goi got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Gral.
