Ritchie's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Cicloneta the free kick. In the 19th minute, Bonifacio Sadurni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Ritchie getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Ritchie's players were relieved. After a defensive mix-up in Ritchie's zone, Celso Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Remigio Martxelin came out of the goal and Celso Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Bonifacio Sadurni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 30 minutes, Bonifacio Sadurni managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ritchie's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bonifacio Sadurni was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bonifacio Sadurni in the 32nd minute of play forced La Cicloneta's goalkeeper Rene Herensuge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Epifanio Montrel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remigio Martxelin having to interfere. Bonifacio Sadurni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bonifacio Sadurni stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes La Cicloneta got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Federigo. Roman Egun hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 71st match minute, La Cicloneta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celso Sancho to maneuver through the defense. In the 84th minute, Arnoldo Santo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The La Cicloneta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Ritchie's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because La Cicloneta had won, even though Ritchie had held more of the ball.
