An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Quinito in the 27th minute of play forced Almirante Brown's goalkeeper Saul Godoy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabian Maldonado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teo Dalmai having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octavio Martino in the 36th minute of play forced Calaza FC's goalkeeper Teo Dalmai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Saverio Asier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Almirante Brown defense, Epifanio Betadur kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Saul Godoy. The Almirante Brown fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Saul Godoy should have stopped the shot. 45 minutes into the match, Calaza FC's Alfredo Quinito sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Saul Godoy narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After a rather tough play, Almirante Brown's Octavio Martino got a free kick in the 50th minute. 52 minutes into the match, Almirante Brown's goal looked a bit too open when Julio Guillem came free, but Saul Godoy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 54 minutes into the game, Epifanio Betadur was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Calaza FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Almirante Brown the free kick. Almirante Brown's Saul Godoy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Admon in the 64th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Almirante Brown's goalkeeper Saul Godoy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Epifanio Betadur. After 67 played minutes Almirante Brown got a freekick which was hit by Ignacio Rey. In the 68th minute, Epifanio Betadur got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
