The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Roque Paez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florentino Sayvion in the 7th minute of play. Timbues AFC's Faustino Bastia shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 13th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Felix Gregory but with some difficulty. Timbues AFC's Julian Baristo came free and shot a quick shot against goal 14 minutes in the game, fortunately Felix Gregory had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Justino Marz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Felix Gregory tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Choya FC's Andres Illart got a free kick in the 17th minute. Justino Marz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st minute Justino Marz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felix Gregory saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Choya FC's goal looked a bit too open when Justino Marz came free, but Felix Gregory reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Timbues AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Florentino Sayvion came free, but Roque Paez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Justino Marz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Choya FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciriaco Chayo to maneuver through the defense. Timbues AFC's Roque Paez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florentino Sayvion in the 73rd minute of play. Atilano Erruki kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Florentino Sayvion got free with Roque Paez in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julian Baristo scored 2-1 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Felix Gregory, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Timbues AFC's Julian Baristo got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Choya FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
