DEZAR FC were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after Libertarians FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Baldomero Primeiro took the corner. Efrain Jerano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isidro Bartoli having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Libertarians FC's zone, Efrain Jerano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isidro Bartoli came out of the goal and Efrain Jerano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Isidro Bartoli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Toli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Libertarians FC's Isidro Bartoli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Libertarians FC from getting a goal against them. Libertarians FC's Isidro Bartoli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Efrain Jerano in the 39th minute of play. Cornelio Abecia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Isidro Bartoli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. DEZAR FC's Mauro Toli got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Luisito Ospin made the kick off in the second half. When Placido Suarez fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored DEZAR FC's protests and gave Placido Suarez a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to DEZAR FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Isidro Bartoli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Efrain Jerano, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. When Mauro Toli came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the DEZAR FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mauro Toli couldn't finish the play. In the 83rd minute Efrain Jerano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidro Bartoli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. DEZAR FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
