Paolo Bikendi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fausto Cibran didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paolo Bikendi went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind José Mourinho's goalkeeper Fausto Cibran, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 20 minutes into the match, José Mourinho's goal looked a bit too open when Faustino Ruy came free, but Fausto Cibran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Faustino Ruy notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of José Mourinho's Fausto Cibran. Fausto Cibran was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 29 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo's goalkeeper Segundo Chuse had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claudio Romildo. Claudio Romildo struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Segundo Chuse didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for José Mourinho. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Venancio Bernat to make the kick off. José Mourinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Venancio Bernat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 57thth minute of the game Claudio Romildo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but San Lorenzo's Segundo Chuse was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. José Mourinho's Fausto Cibran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paolo Bikendi in the 63rd minute of play. After 67 minutes of play, José Mourinho's Venancio Bernat made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Segundo Chuse was left in no man's land by his defense there! Segundo Chuse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Venancio Bernat in the 73rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in San Lorenzo's zone, Claudio Romildo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Segundo Chuse came out of the goal and Claudio Romildo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 77 minutes, Faustino Ruy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Lorenzo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Faustino Ruy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 79 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo's goal looked a bit too open when Venancio Bernat came free, but Segundo Chuse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, José Mourinho's goalkeeper Fausto Cibran had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Faustino Ruy. If Faustino Ruy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Mourinho were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of San Lorenzo for a fine match.
