Spectators: 7243 (Terracing: 5452, Seating: 1671, VIP seats: 120) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Andres Quintana kicked off to start the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Federico Bertin in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roque Paez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ruben Xabat charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ruben Xabat the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ruben Xabat hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. 12 minutes into the game, Leo Pirro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Timbues AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palominos the free kick. In the 12th match minute, Timbues AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leo Pirro to maneuver through the defense. Leo Pirro got his second yellow card in the match during the 14th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Palominos booed when Timbues AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leo Pirro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Palominos's Isaac Fix tried to score from far away in the 15th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Roque Paez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andres Quintana in the 19th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Atilano Erruki during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 20th match minute, Timbues AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Atilano Erruki to maneuver through the defense. Roque Paez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andres Quintana, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Andres Quintana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julian Baristo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquilino Perrando having to interfere. Federico Bertin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Andres Quintana took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roque Paez. Roque Paez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Roque Paez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Federico Bertin in the 41st minute of the match. Roque Paez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Federico Bertin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Palominos were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julian Baristo was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Federico Bertin got free with Roque Paez in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Andres Quintana came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Palominos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andres Quintana couldn't finish the play. If Andres Quintana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roque Paez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andres Quintana in the 63rd minute of the match. With his leg Roque Paez managed to avoid a goal in the 65thth minute, when Palominos's Federico Bertin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Justino Marz hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. 72 minutes into the match, Palominos's Andres Quintana sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roque Paez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ciro Garoa's late challenge caught a Timbues AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ciro Garoa helped the player get up and apologised. When Federico Bertin came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Palominos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Federico Bertin couldn't finish the play. Roque Paez made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Federico Bertin sent off a good shot on target. Jimeno Cheche kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. If Andres Quintana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aquilino Perrando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Baristo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 95 minutes into the game, Amado Refugio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Roque Paez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Andres Quintana's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 99thth minute, Roque Paez skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When the match was over Palominos could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Timbues AFC throughout the match.
