Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Palominos's Andres Quintana started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rdth minute of the game Andres Quintana who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but San Lorenzo's Segundo Chuse was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 7 minutes into the game, Andres Quintana recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Segundo Chuse. Andres Quintana showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Federico Bertin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Segundo Chuse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andres Quintana in the 12th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amado Refugio during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of San Lorenzo booed when Palominos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amado Refugio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andres Quintana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th of the match, Andres Quintana tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Segundo Chuse got in the way and made a wonderful save. Federico Bertin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Segundo Chuse having to make a save. In the 41st minute, Palominos's Federico Bertin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. When Silvestre Ioritz came up free with the goalie in the 49th minute, the Palominos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvestre Ioritz couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Paolo Bikendi made the kick off in the second half. Segundo Chuse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andres Quintana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Federico Bertin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Segundo Chuse having to interfere. After 59 played minutes San Lorenzo got a freekick which was hit by Ermegildo Neto. Segundo Chuse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andres Quintana in the 60th minute of play. Federico Bertin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Segundo Chuse having to interfere. Federico Bertin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Segundo Chuse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Federico Bertin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Segundo Chuse having to interfere. Palominos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Federico Bertin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eulalio Gonsalve during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to San Lorenzo getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Eulalio Gonsalve hit a great ball. 97 minutes into the match, Andres Quintana notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of San Lorenzo's Segundo Chuse. Segundo Chuse was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Palominos's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
