Republica de la VI's Cleto Sugoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Federico Eztebe in the 7th minute of play. The supporters of Republica de la VI booed when LA CANDELARIA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvestre Tomi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valentin Aimar kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Humberto Santio's late challenge caught a LA CANDELARIA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Humberto Santio helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Republica de la VI getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Humberto Santio hit a great ball. Cleto Sugoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camilo Ospin in the 21st minute of play. Federico Eztebe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute, Eulalio Benvido got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 33rdth minute of the game Camilo Ospin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Republica de la VI's Cleto Sugoi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cleto Sugoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camilo Ospin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Republica de la VI's Cipriano Reynardo got a free kick in the 42nd minute. 45 minutes in the game, Eulalio Benvido fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Marcos Urdaspal having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When Federico Eztebe came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the LA CANDELARIA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Federico Eztebe couldn't finish the play. Eulalio Benvido sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Federico Eztebe kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Segundo Olentzaro was slow to take the kick. During this time Republica de la VI's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Republica de la VI's Segundo Olentzaro to fire away a dangerous shot which Marcos Urdaspal despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Marcos Urdaspal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raul Honesto in the 88th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute of the game Serafino Txomin made a throw-in which Eulalio Benvido played forward. Raul Honesto might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcos Urdaspal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raul Honesto ran back to his position shaking his head. 97 minutes into the match, Camilo Ospin notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Republica de la VI's Cleto Sugoi. Cleto Sugoi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
