Spectators: 7179 (Terracing: 5356, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 142) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Eleuterio Erasto got the match started through his kick off. A collision led to Tambillos getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Siro Urdaspal hit a great ball. When Siro Urdaspal fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tambillos's protests and gave Siro Urdaspal a yellow card for diving instead. In the 5th match minute, Tambillos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Siro Urdaspal to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eleuterio Erasto in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Barrionuevo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 16 minutes into the game, Diego Salbatore recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marciano Jerardo. Diego Salbatore showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. In the 20th minute Cirilo Gutierrez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Barrionuevo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Eleuterio Erasto came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Gimnasia y Esgrima de J. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eleuterio Erasto couldn't finish the play. Rolando Barrionuevo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eleuterio Erasto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute Cirilo Gutierrez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Barrionuevo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eleuterio Erasto in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolando Barrionuevo saved Tambillos from getting behind. Gimnasia y Esgrima de J.'s Virgilio Emeterio suffered a concussion in the 40th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Diego Salbatore's late challenge caught a Gimnasia y Esgrima de J.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diego Salbatore helped the player get up and apologised. In the 42nd minute, Diego Salbatore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cirilo Gutierrez took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rolando Barrionuevo. Rolando Barrionuevo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Angelino Muno to strike the kick off in the second half. Eleuterio Erasto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Rolando Barrionuevo made a huge save. Marciano Jerardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Salbatore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55thth minute of the game Cirilo Gutierrez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tambillos's Rolando Barrionuevo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Virgilio Jaen kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Eleuterio Erasto in the 63rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rolando Barrionuevo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Eleuterio Erasto struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Rolando Barrionuevo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gimnasia y Esgrima de J.. Tambillos's defense didn't have a chance, in the 66th minute, when Cirilo Gutierrez scored to the left of an out of position Rolando Barrionuevo, making the score, 1-3. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 71st minute of the game. One of Tambillos:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Gimnasia y Esgrima de J.:s goal. Tambillos:s Rolando Barrionuevo showed great skill when he stopped Cirilo Gutierrez:s penalty. Marciano Jerardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelino Muno in the 74th minute of the match. A hard shot 75 in the game by Eleuterio Erasto from a close distance when the talented Rolando Barrionuevo managed to make a qualified save. Tambillos's players were relieved. Rolando Barrionuevo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cirilo Gutierrez in the 78th minute of the match. Bruno Martxel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cirilo Gutierrez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Barrionuevo having to interfere. Gimnasia y Esgrima de J.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
