Herminio Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel George having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Moctezuma FC's Samuel George threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Adan Azibar, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Cirilo Geleberto fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Mejor Vida's protests and gave Cirilo Geleberto a yellow card for diving instead. 28 minutes into the match, La Mejor Vida's goalkeeper Samuel George had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Herminio Cruz. Federico Rafe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidro Leobardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 35 minutes into the match, La Mejor Vida's Isidro Leobardo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Federico Rafe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adan Azibar couldn't finish the play. When Amador Pacho fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cirilo Geleberto in the 45th minute of play forced Moctezuma FC's goalkeeper Federico Rafe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cirilo Geleberto scored 0-1 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Federico Rafe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Cirilo Geleberto made the kick off in the second half. Isidro Leobardo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Federico Rafe when he managed to save the team from getting behind. La Mejor Vida's Cirilo Geleberto got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Moctezuma FC's Cristian Dominix got a free kick in the 61st minute. Samuel George made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adan Azibar in the 67th minute of play. Herminio Cruz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Samuel George read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Federico Rafe was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cirilo Geleberto in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Federico Rafe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. La Mejor Vida's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
