Esquel's Higinio Bikendi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvio Bikendi in the 24th minute of play. Angelino Muno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Donato Teyo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Higinio Bikendi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelino Muno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute, Diego Salbatore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rolando Barrionuevo made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Tadeo Astrada sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Angelino Muno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tambillos's supporters rose to their feet, but Angelino Muno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Angelino Muno made a kick off. Tambillos's Rolando Barrionuevo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadeo Astrada in the 57th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Esquel's goalkeeper Higinio Bikendi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Silvio Bikendi. Angelino Muno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 65 minutes into the match, Esquel's goal looked a bit too open when Angelino Muno came free, but Higinio Bikendi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Tambillos booed when Esquel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonides Nuxila didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 76 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Silvio Bikendi sped through Esquel's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Higinio Bikendi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelino Muno in the 81st minute of play forced Esquel's goalkeeper Higinio Bikendi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Angelino Muno in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Higinio Bikendi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tambillos's Silvio Bikendi got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Donato Teyo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Rolando Barrionuevo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Higinio Bikendi made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Silvio Bikendi sent off a good shot on target. Higinio Bikendi was out of position in the 96 minute of play, and Silvio Bikendi capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Silvio Bikendi really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Tambillos's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
