The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Ignacio Ferrando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Severino Macerio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Rolando Rafel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th minute, Severino Macerio made a precise shot to the right of Rolando Rafel. La Cucha del Perro FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The supporters of Sporting Club FC booed when La Cucha del Perro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacobo Loreto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute Severino Macerio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Rafel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Rafel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Severino Macerio's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. In the 22nd minute of the match Horacio Bizen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Osvaldo Paulin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Osvaldo Paulin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leon Favila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Donato Joseph recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Pablo Chale fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sporting Club FC's protests and gave Pablo Chale a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Sporting Club FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Pablo Chale hit a great ball. Tadeo Kinsen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rolando Rafel having to make a save. Severino Macerio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Rolando Rafel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rolando Rafel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severino Macerio in the 41st minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leon Favila was the one to do the kick off. Donato Joseph sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th match minute, Sporting Club FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severino Macerio to maneuver through the defense. Severino Macerio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tadeo Kinsen got free with Rolando Rafel in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 85th minute of the match La Cucha del Perro FC got a corner. Sporting Club FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Horacio Bizen ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led La Cucha del Perro FC's Horacio Bizen to fire away a dangerous shot which Osvaldo Paulin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Severino Macerio took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rolando Rafel. Rolando Rafel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Tadeo Kinsen's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 90thth minute, Rolando Rafel skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Tadeo Kinsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Severino Macerio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rolando Rafel having to make a save. When the match was over Sporting Club FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than La Cucha del Perro FC throughout the match.
