The supporters of Los Borrachos booed when Retrogrados F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Hondo didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Retrogrados F.C's Bernardo Eguerdi got control of the ball when Orlando Leoncio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Genaro Rius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Cruz in the 17th minute of play. Fausto Mergildo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Genaro Rius read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Retrogrados F.C's goalkeeper Bernardo Eguerdi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 35 minutes into the match, Fausto Mergildo notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Los Borrachos's Genaro Rius. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Borrachos's goalkeeper Genaro Rius, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 55 minutes into the game, Cipriano Ganix was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Los Borrachos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Retrogrados F.C the free kick. In the 56th minute, Cipriano Ganix hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sebastian Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Genaro Rius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fausto Mergildo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Orlando Leoncio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 70 minutes into the game, Oscar Felipo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Bernardo Eguerdi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fausto Mergildo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Genaro Rius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 81 played minutes Retrogrados F.C got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Hondo. Bernardo Eguerdi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Felipo, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Genaro Rius made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Sebastian Cruz sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Los Borrachos's zone, Sebastian Cruz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Genaro Rius came out of the goal and Sebastian Cruz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 89th minute, Retrogrados F.C's Fausto Mergildo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Genaro Rius. Genaro Rius yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. 92 minutes into the match, Sebastian Cruz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Genaro Rius. Los Borrachos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sebastian Cruz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. When the final whistle sounded Retrogrados F.C left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Los Borrachos.
