Gaspar Atauri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Conrado Orlin, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 35th minute, Baltasar Guipuzkoa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Chascomús's Gaspar Atauri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conrado Orlin in the 44th minute of play. Adan Dolfos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaspar Atauri having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baltasar Guipuzkoa to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Venancio Maiorga notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Sarmiento's Edelmiro Oso. Edelmiro Oso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 60 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sarmiento's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. During this time Chascomús's players had a chance to rest. 65 minutes into the game, Sarmiento's Conrado Orlin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gaspar Atauri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Sarmiento's zone, Baltasar Guipuzkoa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edelmiro Oso came out of the goal and Baltasar Guipuzkoa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Baltasar Guipuzkoa in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edelmiro Oso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jorge Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Sarmiento's Edelmiro Oso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baltasar Guipuzkoa in the 75th minute of play. When Wilfredo Pasqual fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chascomús's protests and gave Wilfredo Pasqual a yellow card for diving instead. 79 minutes into the game, Bernardo Guillem was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sarmiento's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chascomús the free kick. Bernardo Guillem hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Chascomús's Gaspar Atauri got control of the ball when Conrado Orlin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ceferino Tulio kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. In the 89th minute, Conrado Orlin fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Conrado Orlin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Chascomús had won after a very even match.
