But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafael Socorro couldn't finish the play. Rolando Ticho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Truylos having to interfere. Francisco Truylos came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Franco FC's Rolando Ticho. But to his dismay, Rolando Ticho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Vicente Muno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Bartolo Baladi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Franco FC's Bartolo Baladi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Franco FC from getting a goal against them. After recieving a nice pass, Franco FC's Reynaldo Gaizkine tried to score from far away in the 33rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Franco FC's Rolando Ticho got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Teodosio Galoer hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Bernardo Rafe's late challenge caught a poncho FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernardo Rafe helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of poncho FC booed when Franco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Rafe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Blas Umea was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 46th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rafael Socorro was the one to do the kick off. Bartolo Baladi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Socorro in the 51st minute of play. When poncho FC's Vicente Muno in 53 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Bartolo Baladi guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. A collision led to Franco FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Teodosio Galoer hit a great ball. In the 58th minute poncho FC were awarded a corner. Blas Umea went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Apolo Efraim heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Vicente Muno struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Bartolo Baladi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for poncho FC. After 62 minutes, Rafael Socorro made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Franco FC's Bartolo Baladi tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Bartolo Baladi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Muno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Franco FC's zone, Rafael Socorro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bartolo Baladi came out of the goal and Rafael Socorro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Teobaldo Vincent had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Franco FC's Rolando Ticho got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Guido Feo kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teobaldo Vincent during the 96th minute.
