Nereo Weather scored 0-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Americo Cordara, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 27 minutes into the match, Viedma FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nereo Weather came free, but Americo Cordara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leandro Vidal came out of the goal and Clodoveo Rainerio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Viedma FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 46th minute. Penalty! After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Casimiro Cordarin to strike the kick off in the second half. Americo Cordara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano Raulo in the 85th minute of play. In the 87th minute of the match, Nereo Weather got a very nice opportunity to score, but Americo Cordara was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When Casimiro Cordarin came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Viedma FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Casimiro Cordarin couldn't finish the play.
