The goalkeeper, Donato Quintana, was totally fooled by Emilia's Pedro Sazon, who 42 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Timoteo Txomin hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Generoso Louis made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Emilia's goalkeeper Saverio Dominic had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Armando Emeterio. After 54 played minutes, Los Estrellares FC's Mauro Koldobika shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Saverio Dominic came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Los Estrellares FC reached it. Cecilio Elorri struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Donato Quintana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Emilia. The audience was convinced that Santos Bermudo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Donato Quintana was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Generoso Louis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Ariel Herrera fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Emilia's protests and gave Ariel Herrera a yellow card for diving instead. Santos Bermudo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donato Quintana having to interfere. Cecilio Elorri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emilia's Ariel Herrera got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Emilia booed when Los Estrellares FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delmiro Jesco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ariel Herrera got his second yellow card in the match during the 82nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Saverio Dominic stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Generoso Louis's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Cecilio Elorri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donato Quintana having to interfere.
