Ambrosio Duardo hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in San Antonio's zone, Ramiro Birila stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Conrado Romildo came out of the goal and Ramiro Birila tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cipriano Bernal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feliciano Edorta in the 31st minute of play. The supporters of San Antonio booed when Changos F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso Bieito didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cipriano Bernal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eusebio Mergildo went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. San Antonio's Conrado Romildo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save San Antonio from getting a goal against them. Cipriano Bernal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusebio Mergildo in the 41st minute of play. Feliciano Edorta might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cipriano Bernal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Feliciano Edorta ran back to his position shaking his head. If Eusebio Mergildo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute, Feliciano Edorta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half San Antonio were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 52nd minute, Severiano Balendin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Conrado Romildo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After some careless play in the Changos F.C defense, Feliciano Edorta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cipriano Bernal. The Changos F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cipriano Bernal should have stopped the shot. Uriel Paulin charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Uriel Paulin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Changos F.C's Uriel Paulin got a free kick in the 65th minute. Eusebio Mergildo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 67 minutes into the game, Feliciano Edorta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Cipriano Bernal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Eusebio Mergildo managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Antonio's supporters rose to their feet, but Eusebio Mergildo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cipriano Bernal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. San Antonio's Feliciano Edorta got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Conrado Romildo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Severiano Balendin's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. In the 82nd minute Eusebio Mergildo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Bernal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Feliciano Edorta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Cipriano Bernal made a huge save.
