After a defensive mix-up in Espinillo AFC's zone, Melchor Nayely stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Quintyn came out of the goal and Melchor Nayely tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 46 minutes of play, Empaladores FC's Cristian Ekain made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Daniel Quintyn was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Simon Abeita was the one to do the kick off. After 53 played minutes Empaladores FC got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Ekain. In the 67th minute, Leonardo Mero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Espinillo AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Melchor Nayely who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 70thth minute tested the skills of Daniel Quintyn when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Enzo Loi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ismael Berart in the 80th minute of the match. After 80 minutes of play, Espinillo AFC's Ismael Berart made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Enzo Loi was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Ismael Berart in the 85th minute of play forced Empaladores FC's goalkeeper Enzo Loi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Melchor Nayely came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Empaladores FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Melchor Nayely couldn't finish the play.
