They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After a defensive mix-up in Los Pechos Frios FC's zone, Cipriano Jerold stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Efraim came out of the goal and Cipriano Jerold tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Cipriano Jerold managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gaypón's supporters rose to their feet, but Cipriano Jerold was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martin Efraim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Los Pechos Frios FC booed when Gaypón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roman Lia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute, Cipriano Jerold got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Roman Lia managed to get in a good position for a shot.
