The referee ignored Los Pechos Frios FC's protests and gave Serafin Errapel a yellow card for diving instead. After 23 minutes, Nicasio Rodriguez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Empaladores FC and the Los Pechos Frios FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Los Pechos Frios FC booed when Empaladores FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicasio Rodriguez didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Los Pechos Frios FC's goalkeeper Martin Efraim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Melchor Nayely. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Markel in the 28th minute of play forced Empaladores FC's goalkeeper Enzo Loi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, Los Pechos Frios FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Melchor Nayely fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A collision led to Los Pechos Frios FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Serafin Errapel hit a great ball. In the 36th minute, Juan Markel made a precise shot to the right of Enzo Loi. Empaladores FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

In the 97th minute, Melchor Nayely left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Empaladores FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1.
