Honorato Lekubegi charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The supporters of Sauce booed when Albardón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Mirande didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernabe Azeari in the 26th minute of play forced Sauce's goalkeeper Felipe Herena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 33 minutes, Matias Eliazar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sauce's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matias Eliazar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Albardón's Enrique Acuña got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Felipe Herena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Acuña in the 38th minute of the match. In the 43rd minute, Matias Eliazar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sauce fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Matias Eliazar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mauro Celipe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Sauce's Mauro Celipe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arsenio Sanchez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Segundo Perpinya hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Enrique Acuña in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Felipe Herena saved Sauce from getting behind. Segundo Perpinya was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 69th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Bernabe Azeari received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Felipe Herena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Felipe Herena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrique Acuña, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Matias Eliazar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 90 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sauce! Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
