After 18 played minutes Viejas Locas fc got a freekick which was hit by Bartolo Gines. Elvio Cruz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristobal Tancredo in the 19th minute. Eulalio George kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Cleto Nazario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melquiades Gaspard having to interfere. When Anibal Gutxi came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Almagro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anibal Gutxi couldn't finish the play. Melquiades Gaspard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cleto Nazario in the 34th minute of play. If Esteban Txanton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th match minute, Viejas Locas fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cleto Nazario to maneuver through the defense. Anibal Gutxi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benedicto Pirmin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melquiades Gaspard having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

After a defensive mix-up in Viejas Locas fc's zone, Anibal Gutxi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elvio Cruz came out of the goal and Anibal Gutxi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elvio Cruz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esteban Txanton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes into the match, Almagro's Anibal Gutxi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elvio Cruz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 59 played minutes Viejas Locas fc got a freekick which was hit by Eulalio George. Almagro's Esteban Txanton got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 61st match minute, Viejas Locas fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugenio Harkaitz to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Esteban Txanton in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elvio Cruz saved Viejas Locas fc from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esteban Txanton in the 66th minute of play forced Viejas Locas fc's goalkeeper Elvio Cruz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Martin Luzea fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Almagro's protests and gave Martin Luzea a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Viejas Locas fc booed when Almagro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Luzea didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Almagro's Melquiades Gaspard got control of the ball when Cleto Nazario tried to sneak it across the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Feliberto Bittor couldn't finish the play. 90 minutes into the game, Benedicto Pirmin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Viejas Locas fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Almagro the free kick. In the 90th match minute, Viejas Locas fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedicto Pirmin to maneuver through the defense. Esteban Txanton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
