Spectators: 7197 (Terracing: 5399, Seating: 1655, VIP seats: 143) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Mauro Celipe kicked off to start the match. Honorato Lekubegi charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Honorato Lekubegi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Severino Honrio was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 4th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Felipe Herena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esteban Txanton in the 8th minute of the match. Sauce's Mauro Celipe got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Anibal Gutxi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Felipe Herena read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Felipe Herena made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Anibal Gutxi sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Almagro booed when Sauce was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Harriet didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 18 minutes, Anibal Gutxi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Almagro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anibal Gutxi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Almagro's Melquiades Gaspard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matias Eliazar in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Feliberto Bittor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Melquiades Gaspard stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mauro Celipe's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Feliberto Bittor kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, Esteban Txanton dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Felipe Herena, 1-0. If Esteban Txanton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matias Eliazar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melquiades Gaspard having to interfere. In the 38th match minute, Almagro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feliberto Bittor to maneuver through the defense. Matias Eliazar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Melquiades Gaspard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Melquiades Gaspard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Celipe, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. The audience was convinced that Matias Eliazar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Melquiades Gaspard was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Esteban Txanton was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 62 minutes, Anibal Gutxi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Almagro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anibal Gutxi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Felipe Herena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esteban Txanton in the 63rd minute of play. In the 64th minute, Anibal Gutxi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Almagro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Severino Honrio during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Almagro getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Severino Honrio hit a great ball. Anibal Gutxi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe Herena having to interfere. Mauro Celipe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute, Almagro's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Mauro Celipe fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Matias Eliazar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Melquiades Gaspard made a huge save. Sauce's Felipe Herena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esteban Txanton in the 89th minute of play. In the 96th minute Mauro Celipe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melquiades Gaspard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Almagro's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
