The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jose Nuxila helped the player get up and apologised. In the 6th match minute, Caraza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Nuxila to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Caraza's Leo Chorache got a free kick in the 8th minute. Adan Edorta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th minute of the match Antonio Eguerdi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bernabe Maule showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Leo Chorache hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After 16 minutes of play, Chipa FC.'s Adan Edorta made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bernabe Maule was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Eugenio Beila's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Humberto Kepa was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Humberto Kepa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ernesto Oliverio in the 30th minute. Eugenio Beila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Caraza defense, Vinicio Arias kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernabe Maule. The Caraza fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernabe Maule should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adan Edorta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Cristian Izotz came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Chipa FC. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Izotz couldn't finish the play. Adan Edorta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugenio Beila in the 82nd minute of play forced Chipa FC.'s goalkeeper Humberto Kepa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ernesto Oliverio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernabe Maule came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Chipa FC.'s Vinicio Arias. But to his dismay, Vinicio Arias quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3.
