Fulgencio Garin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Atarratze in the 13th minute of play. Ismael Bertran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carmelo Benitez, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. When Leandro Atarratze came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Uturango FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leandro Atarratze couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erasmo Nofre stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Carmelo Benitez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Ismael Bertran when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 56th minute, Patricio Ruisko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 57th minute of the match Teodoro Locaio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ismael Bertran showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Leandro Atarratze struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Fulgencio Garin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uturango FC. Erasmo Nofre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 66 played minutes Atletico Rafaela got a freekick which was hit by Luisito Abancens. After a defensive mix-up in Atletico Rafaela's zone, Leandro Atarratze stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fulgencio Garin came out of the goal and Leandro Atarratze tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aquiles Clodio kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. When Uturango FC's Leandro Atarratze in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Atletico Rafaela's goalie prevented a goal. Fulgencio Garin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Oliverios in the 80th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leandro Atarratze in the 81st minute of play forced Atletico Rafaela's goalkeeper Fulgencio Garin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Atletico Rafaela were furious when Elvio Gamus was red carded, 90 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 89 minutes into the game, one of Atletico Rafaela:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Godfredo Jaen placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Atletico Rafaela were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Uturango FC's much stronger midfield.
