Spectators: 6680 (Terracing: 5009, Seating: 1664, VIP seats: 7) Adan Edorta made the kick off and thus started the match. Humberto Kepa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicanor Quirze in the 3rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, River Plate's Lorenzo Buinton got a free kick in the 9th minute. Nicolas Pirro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Kepa having to interfere. Humberto Kepa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Pirro in the 15th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adan Edorta in the 18th minute of play forced River Plate's goalkeeper Narciso Millrick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vinicio Arias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Narciso Millrick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nicolas Pirro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicolas Pirro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind River Plate's goalkeeper Narciso Millrick, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Narciso Millrick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adan Edorta in the 40th minute of play. River Plate's Narciso Millrick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adan Edorta in the 42nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in River Plate's zone, Adan Edorta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Narciso Millrick came out of the goal and Adan Edorta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nicolas Pirro to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 58th match minute, River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Uriel Estavan to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute, Lorenzo Buinton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vinicio Arias in the 81st minute of play forced River Plate's goalkeeper Narciso Millrick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Vinicio Arias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chipa FC.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Vinicio Arias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Narciso Millrick breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 88 minutes into the match, Chipa FC.'s goalkeeper Humberto Kepa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicanor Quirze. Nicolas Pirro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Narciso Millrick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vinicio Arias, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Cristian Izotz struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Narciso Millrick didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chipa FC.. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
