The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jota Erre Erre's Humberto Remigio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo Calvino in the 3rd minute of play. Team XII's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lucas Claus in the 5th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Jota Erre Erre's zone, Artemio Duarte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Humberto Remigio came out of the goal and Artemio Duarte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 10 minutes into the game, Team XII's Abelardo Calvino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Humberto Remigio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When Gabriel Martxelin came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Jota Erre Erre fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Martxelin couldn't finish the play. Team XII's Abelardo Calvino got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Geronimo Poncio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Humberto Remigio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Humberto Remigio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geronimo Poncio in the 18th minute of play. Jota Erre Erre's Humberto Remigio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artemio Duarte in the 19th minute of play. In the 27thth minute of the game Artemio Duarte who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jota Erre Erre's Humberto Remigio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gabriel Martxelin was the one to do the kick off. If Gabriel Martxelin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Team XII's zone, Arsenio Martinez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Delmiro Bartolome came out of the goal and Arsenio Martinez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Delmiro Bartolome took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Martxelin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute, Constantino Abascal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 74 minutes, Artemio Duarte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Team XII's supporters crossed their fingers, but Artemio Duarte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After having played for 79 minutes, Gabriel Martxelin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Team XII played a much better game than Jota Erre Erre and deserved their victory. The Jota Erre Erre players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
