Pablo Argoitz started the match with the kick off. After having played for 7 minutes, Urbano Maidana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Calderón AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Urbano Maidana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 12 minutes into the match, Urbano Maidana had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benedicto Mateus. leprosario's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Urbano Maidana was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Augusto Libertad during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 15th minute, one of Calderón AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Calderón AFC. Benedicto Mateus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Arias in the 20th minute of the match. leprosario's Benedicto Mateus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norberto Nerio in the 21st minute of play. Calderón AFC's Gonzalo Silviano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Calderón AFC from getting a goal against them. Pablo Argoitz was extremely unlucky when he, in the 28th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 33 minutes into the game, Amancio Goito cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Gonzalo Silviano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gregorio Teodor hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Virgilio Gaufred recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Arias in the 48th minute of play forced leprosario's goalkeeper Benedicto Mateus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

53 minutes into the match, leprosario's goalkeeper Benedicto Mateus had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Virgilio Gaufred. After a defensive mix-up in leprosario's zone, Urbano Maidana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benedicto Mateus came out of the goal and Urbano Maidana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maximiliano Arias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benedicto Mateus was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Maximiliano Arias showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 71 minute of play. In the 75th minute, Maximiliano Arias fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Urbano Maidana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Abel Chus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Calderón AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Abel Chus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benedicto Mateus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benedicto Mateus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximiliano Arias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maximiliano Arias in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benedicto Mateus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Leonel Lesardo fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored leprosario's protests and gave Leonel Lesardo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 90th minute, Leonel Lesardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Maximiliano Arias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 94 minutes into the game, Urbano Maidana recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benedicto Mateus. Urbano Maidana showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4.
