Pablo Argoitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narciso Millrick having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pablo Argoitz in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Narciso Millrick prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Amancio Goito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When leprosario's Pablo Argoitz in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye River Plate's goalie prevented a goal. 27 minutes into the match, leprosario's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Pirro came free, but Benedicto Mateus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Amancio Goito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 33 minutes, Pablo Argoitz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. leprosario's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pablo Argoitz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicanor Quirze got free with Benedicto Mateus in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Narciso Millrick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amancio Goito, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. 39 minutes into the game, Geronimo Goiz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. River Plate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave leprosario the free kick. Amancio Goito's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Narciso Millrick read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Benedicto Mateus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolas Pirro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Narciso Millrick stood somewhat misplaced when Pablo Argoitz came free in front of goal and shot 0-1 to the left of him in the 53 minute. Guido Brais charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guido Brais the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in River Plate fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 56th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Narciso Millrick, was totally fooled by leprosario's Aristides Lore, who 58 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After having played for 65 minutes, Uriel Estavan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River Plate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Uriel Estavan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 67 played minutes leprosario got a freekick which was hit by Leonel Lesardo. Ruperto Benet took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 68th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Benedicto Mateus. leprosario's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. River Plate's Narciso Millrick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pablo Argoitz in the 72nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, River Plate's Geronimo Goiz got a free kick in the 73rd minute. 76 minutes into the match, leprosario's goal looked a bit too open when Nicanor Quirze came free, but Benedicto Mateus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, leprosario's Leonel Lesardo got a free kick in the 76th minute. Amancio Goito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Uriel Estavan kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Narciso Millrick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonel Lesardo in the 90th minute of play. Benedicto Mateus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Pirro in the 91st minute of play. leprosario's Benedicto Mateus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicanor Quirze in the 92nd minute of play. Nicanor Quirze struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Benedicto Mateus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for River Plate. Leonel Lesardo kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Benedicto Mateus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Pirro in the 96th minute of play.
