Marciano Urbes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Balesio in the 9th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the game, Santo Castulo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eduardo Jakobe. Santo Castulo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Santo Esdras hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Santo Castulo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 24 minutes, Santo Castulo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SPORTIVO DJL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Santo Castulo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 31st minute, Santo Castulo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to SPORTIVO DJL getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Bonifacio Vincent hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Raimundo Balesio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Celta's supporters rose to their feet, but Raimundo Balesio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marciano Urbes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. SPORTIVO DJL's Marciano Urbes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundo Balesio in the 38th minute of play. If Santo Castulo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santo Castulo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Santo Castulo struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Eduardo Jakobe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SPORTIVO DJL. If Bonifacio Vincent had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Raimundo Balesio made a kick off. 56 minutes into the game, Eliseo Beila was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Celta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SPORTIVO DJL the free kick. A collision led to Celta getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Eliseo Beila hit a great ball. In the 72nd minute Santo Castulo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Jakobe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santo Castulo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the match, Melchor Ibañez notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of SPORTIVO DJL's Marciano Urbes. Marciano Urbes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpected shot in the 84th minute by Melchor Ibañez got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Celta's Raimundo Balesio got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 88 minutes into the match, SPORTIVO DJL's goalkeeper Marciano Urbes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Melchor Ibañez. After a rather tough play, Celta's Ubaldo Ixaka got a free kick in the 96th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. SPORTIVO DJL fully deserved thier win.
