When Joel Sugoi came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Loreto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Sugoi couldn't finish the play. After the first half Ovara were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teofilo Dantel made a kick off. Roque Gervaso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joel Sugoi's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. Victor Bernaldo charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Victor Bernaldo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 83 minutes into the match, Loreto's goal looked a bit too open when Leopoldo Truylos came free, but Florentino Lano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teofilo Dantel in the 86th minute of play forced Ovara's goalkeeper Roque Gervaso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Ovara getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Alonzo Oihan hit a great ball. 93 minutes into the game, Ovara's Leopoldo Truylos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Florentino Lano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3.
