The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Arnoldo Navarro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 13 played minutes Buchanan got a freekick which was hit by Clemente Domenec. Feliberto Gumaro hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After 17 minutes of play, Buchanan's Herminio Cortez made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elias Ixona was left in no man's land by his defense there! Generoso Clodio charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Generoso Clodio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ferroviarios FC's Generoso Clodio got his second yellow card of the match in the 23rd minute. The referee ordered Generoso Clodio off the ground. In the 24th match minute, Ferroviarios FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Generoso Clodio to maneuver through the defense. 25 minutes into the match, Ferroviarios FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardino Teyo came free, but Elias Ixona reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernardino Teyo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elias Ixona made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Cornelio Iraido made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Feliberto Gumaro sent off a good shot on target. Bernardino Teyo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Bernardino Teyo came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Buchanan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernardino Teyo couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Bernardino Teyo made the kick off in the second half. If Bernardino Teyo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Ferroviarios FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Inocencio Panfilo hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute, Ceferino Gentza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 66th minute, Bernardino Teyo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Elias Ixona. The goal made the score 1-3. After 71 minutes, Ceferino Gentza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ferroviarios FC and the Buchanan players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 71st match minute, Ferroviarios FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ceferino Gentza to maneuver through the defense. 81 minutes into the game, Buchanan's Casimiro Neron nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cornelio Iraido came out of the goal and Arnoldo Navarro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arnoldo Navarro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cornelio Iraido having to make a save. The supporters of Ferroviarios FC booed when Buchanan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Gotzon didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Ferroviarios FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Buchanan's performance. The match ended with a win for Buchanan.
