The supporters of Ferroviarios FC booed when Agronomía AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Placido Bilintx didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elias Ixona showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baldomiro Orlondo in the 18th minute of the match. Damaso Kismi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias Ixona having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Damaso Kismi got free with Elias Ixona in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 22 minutes into the match, Ferroviarios FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Edur came free, but Elias Ixona reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Ferroviarios FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arnoldo Navarro to strike the kick off in the second half. Elias Ixona was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 69th minute, Cirilo Fraco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elias Ixona prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
