Añelo's Emanuel Nardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andres Hegoi in the 11th minute of play. Carolo Ekialde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristobal Bakar in the 14th minute of the match. Gaston Ariando scored 2-0 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emanuel Nardo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Ciro Cordearo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carolo Ekialde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonel Etxekopar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciro Cordearo couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Ciro Cordearo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emanuel Nardo was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. In the 36th play minute Gaston Ariando came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Emanuel Nardo. 3-0. Añelo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Leonides Rami scored to the left of an out of position Emanuel Nardo, making the score, 4-0. Ciro Cordearo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Nardo having to interfere. After 45 played minutes Añelo got a freekick which was hit by Bonifacio Playo. After a defensive mix-up in Añelo's zone, Ciro Cordearo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emanuel Nardo came out of the goal and Ciro Cordearo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Cristobal Bakar made the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes, Nicolas Suarez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SANTO DOMINGO FC and the Añelo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Carolo Ekialde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristobal Bakar in the 55th minute of the match. Carolo Ekialde made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Bartolo Elizardo sent off a good shot on target. Emanuel Nardo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ciro Cordearo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 84 minutes into the match, Añelo's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Suarez came free, but Emanuel Nardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SANTO DOMINGO FC's Ciro Cordearo got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emanuel Nardo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ciro Cordearo's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. 89 minutes into the match, SANTO DOMINGO FC's Andres Hegoi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emanuel Nardo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. SANTO DOMINGO FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
