When Robustiano Lehen came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Deportivo El Trebol fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robustiano Lehen couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Matias Berenguer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo El Trebol's supporters rose to their feet, but Matias Berenguer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rigoberto Gonchan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Robustiano Lehen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rigoberto Gonchan having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robustiano Lehen in the 28th minute of play forced Cangrejillos's goalkeeper Rigoberto Gonchan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matias Berenguer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rigoberto Gonchan having to interfere. In the 30th minute Robustiano Lehen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rigoberto Gonchan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Cangrejillos's Teodosio Natanael got a free kick in the 31st minute. If Matias Berenguer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vicente Senio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Cuartio having to interfere. A collision led to Cangrejillos getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Aldo Abajas hit a great ball. In the 47th minute, Vicente Senio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Robustiano Lehen was the one to do the kick off. Matias Berenguer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cangrejillos's Rigoberto Gonchan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robustiano Lehen in the 56th minute of play. Rigoberto Gonchan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robustiano Lehen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rigoberto Gonchan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robustiano Lehen, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Rigoberto Gonchan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robustiano Lehen in the 64th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Cangrejillos's Aldo Abajas got a free kick in the 65th minute. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the match, Deportivo El Trebol's Matias Berenguer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rigoberto Gonchan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Vicente Senio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Paulo Cuartio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Deportivo El Trebol's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
