The crowd rose to their feet as Deportivo El Trebol's Enzo Argina slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Amador Timo. That made the score 3-0 after 25 minutes of play. In the 30th minute Serafin Belo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Cuartio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo Cuartio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blas Vachon in the 46th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Robustiano Lehen to strike the kick off in the second half. Paulo Cuartio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blas Vachon, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After a rather tough play, Bandera's Urbano Cebo got a free kick in the 56th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Bandera's zone, Silvio Tibalt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amador Timo came out of the goal and Silvio Tibalt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bandera's Amador Timo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matias Berenguer in the 63rd minute of play. When Robustiano Lehen came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Deportivo El Trebol fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robustiano Lehen couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Deportivo El Trebol's Paulo Cuartio got control of the ball when Serafin Belo tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Serafin Belo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Blas Vachon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Cuartio having to interfere. 79 minutes into the match, Deportivo El Trebol's goal looked a bit too open when Blas Vachon came free, but Paulo Cuartio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Serafin Belo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
