The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to AMSTEL CB getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. The audience was convinced that Pascual Sugoi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mariano Menendo was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. When Humberto Pirmin came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Jocolí FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Humberto Pirmin couldn't finish the play. In the 22nd minute Pascual Sugoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mariano Menendo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute, Pascual Sugoi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 26th minute, Humberto Pirmin made a precise shot to the right of Mariano Menendo. AMSTEL CB's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 33rd minute, Pascual Sugoi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jocolí FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Mariano Menendo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pascual Sugoi in the 38th minute of the match. AMSTEL CB were awarded a corner in the 49th minute after Jocolí FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Flavio Musko took the corner. The corner led AMSTEL CB's Flavio Musko to fire away a dangerous shot which Rogelio Txindoki despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After the first half Jocolí FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Humberto Pirmin was the one to do the kick off. Narciso Lain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Rogelio Txindoki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Narciso Lain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogelio Txindoki having to interfere. The attack was good, but when Humberto Pirmin in the 60th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 67 minutes into the match, AMSTEL CB's goalkeeper Mariano Menendo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pascual Sugoi. After a rather tough play, AMSTEL CB's Virgilio Serafo got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 73rd minute, Jaime Eleazar sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and AMSTEL CB's Mariano Menendo didn't even have to move. Jocolí FC's Humberto Pirmin got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Andres Costante kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Jocolí FC's Rogelio Txindoki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermengildo Ixidor in the 82nd minute of play. When Narciso Lain came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the AMSTEL CB fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Narciso Lain couldn't finish the play. Hermengildo Ixidor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogelio Txindoki having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Humberto Pirmin in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mariano Menendo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 92 minutes into the match, AMSTEL CB's goalkeeper Mariano Menendo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pascual Sugoi. Narciso Lain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Rogelio Txindoki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emanuel Gervaso hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. 98 minutes into the game, Ramon Giro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jocolí FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AMSTEL CB the free kick.
