Cachiñal were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after V.D.Parque's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Anibal Maore took the corner. If Lino Gartzen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lino Gartzen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Jairo Irrintzi made a huge save. After having played for 39 minutes, Severino Oliviero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. V.D.Parque's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severino Oliviero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Lino Gartzen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Armando Umea to make the kick off. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. V.D.Parque's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
