Bruno Quintan hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. An unexpected shot in the 9th minute by Bruno Quintan got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Nereo Txerran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvador Nicholas in the 14th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Salvador Nicholas notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Árbol y Raíz's Nereo Txerran. Nereo Txerran was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Coraya getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Laureano Sazon hit a great ball. Melchor Bembe hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Bruno Quintan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With 34 minutes on the clock, Sebastian Prejun commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 33rd minute, one of Coraya:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Coraya. After 39 played minutes Coraya got a freekick which was hit by Gaspar George. Coraya's Osvaldo Ekhi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristobal Casado in the 45th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristobal Casado made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Cristobal Casado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Árbol y Raíz's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristobal Casado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Osvaldo Ekhi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bruno Quintan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Osvaldo Ekhi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristobal Casado in the 59th minute of play. Ismael Tavio hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. If Alfonso Diaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruno Quintan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 70 minutes, Bruno Quintan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Árbol y Raíz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bruno Quintan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Osvaldo Ekhi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristobal Casado, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 76th minute, Bruno Quintan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Osvaldo Ekhi was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Gaspar George charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gaspar George the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Árbol y Raíz booed when Coraya was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaspar George didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Bruno Quintan came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Árbol y Raíz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruno Quintan couldn't finish the play. There was no doubt that Árbol y Raíz were the better team. Árbol y Raíz's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
