Árbol y Raíz's Nereo Txerran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evelio Cresencio in the 2nd minute of play. After having played for 4 minutes, Cristobal Casado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Árbol y Raíz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristobal Casado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Romeo Flor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristobal Casado, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Evelio Cresencio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristobal Casado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Romeo Flor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Cristobal Casado put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Romeo Flor. Nereo Txerran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evelio Cresencio, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Evelio Cresencio in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nereo Txerran prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cristobal Casado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Romeo Flor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. If Hilario Gaxan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute, Evelio Cresencio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nereo Txerran was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Bruno Quintan in the 37thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Romeo Flor, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Cristobal Casado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Vila's zone, Cristobal Casado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romeo Flor came out of the goal and Cristobal Casado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Angel Oso kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Bruno Quintan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 48thth minute tested the skills of Romeo Flor when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Evelio Cresencio to strike the kick off in the second half. When Alfonso Diaz fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Árbol y Raíz's protests and gave Alfonso Diaz a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Árbol y Raíz getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Alfonso Diaz hit a great ball. Romeo Flor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristobal Casado in the 61st minute of play. Nereo Txerran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evelio Cresencio in the 63rd minute of play. In the 65th minute Bruno Quintan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeo Flor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Evelio Cresencio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nereo Txerran was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Mauro Paez scored 1-3 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nereo Txerran, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bruno Quintan during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 79th match minute, Árbol y Raíz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Quintan to maneuver through the defense. When Hilario Gaxan came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Vila fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hilario Gaxan couldn't finish the play.
