Luisito Osorio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godfredo Jerano in the 9th minute of play forced Raquel's goalkeeper Elpidio Arano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11thth minute of the game Guaberto Abilio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Raquel's Elpidio Arano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Godfredo Jerano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elpidio Arano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Godfredo Jerano, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. If Luisito Osorio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guaberto Abilio in the 40th minute of play forced Raquel's goalkeeper Elpidio Arano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sbt FC's Guaberto Abilio got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Godfredo Jerano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute, Guaberto Abilio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Godfredo Jerano was the one to do the kick off. Guaberto Abilio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 53rd minute Leonides Ortzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopoldo Ignado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Guaberto Abilio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sbt FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Guaberto Abilio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elpidio Arano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 56th minute Godfredo Jerano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elpidio Arano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Raquel booed when Sbt FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zeledon Banegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Raquel's Elpidio Arano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Godfredo Jerano in the 70th minute of play. Raquel's Elpidio Arano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Raquel from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Raquel getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Anacleto Elija hit a great ball. Elpidio Arano made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Guaberto Abilio sent off a good shot on target. Elpidio Arano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guaberto Abilio in the 83rd minute. When Guaberto Abilio came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Sbt FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guaberto Abilio couldn't finish the play. Elpidio Arano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godfredo Jerano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raquel's Elpidio Arano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Raquel from getting a goal against them. With splendid footwork Godfredo Jerano arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-1 by the left pole in the game's 93rd minute. Sbt FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
