River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Cornelio Pero came free, but Cristobal Peter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th match minute, C. A. River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zeledon Cordarrell to maneuver through the defense. Cornelio Pero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Cristobal Peter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in C. A. River Plate's zone, Ivan Guillelme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristobal Peter came out of the goal and Ivan Guillelme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alfonso Meder who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Julian Abilio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Cornelio Pero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cornelio Pero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Cristobal Peter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ciro Orlo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Julian Abilio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Margal FC's Julian Abilio got control of the ball when Alfonso Meder tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, C. A. River Plate's Enzo Poncio got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 39th minute Ciro Orlo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julian Abilio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alonzo Matia kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After 44 played minutes, C. A. River Plate's Constantino Fe shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Julian Abilio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in C. A. River Plate reached it. Ciro Orlo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julian Abilio having to make a save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cornelio Pero to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, C. A. River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Cornelio Pero came free, but Cristobal Peter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ivan Guillelme could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Cristobal Peter made a huge save. Margal FC's Julian Abilio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Orlo in the 66th minute of play. Alfonso Meder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 70 played minutes Margal FC got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Dei. Ciro Orlo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julian Abilio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. If Alfonso Meder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in C. A. River Plate's zone, Ivan Guillelme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristobal Peter came out of the goal and Ivan Guillelme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ivan Guillelme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristobal Peter having to interfere. After 87 played minutes C. A. River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Enzo Poncio. Ciro Orlo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Julian Abilio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 96 played minutes Margal FC got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Cordeiro. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
