The ball went over the crossbar instead. 10 minutes into the game, Victorio Atauri cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Marcelino Delfino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tobias Ongile in the 15th minute of play forced Colastiné FC's goalkeeper Epifanio Gaskon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberto Vela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Epifanio Gaskon having to interfere. Alberto Vela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Metán AFC's Genaro Eguzki got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Colastiné FC's Epifanio Gaskon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Vela in the 26th minute of play. After 31 played minutes Colastiné FC got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Ferrando. 40 minutes into the match, Colastiné FC's goal looked a bit too open when Genaro Eguzki came free, but Epifanio Gaskon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Epifanio Gaskon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alberto Vela's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Epifanio Gaskon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tobias Ongile, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Alberto Vela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Epifanio Gaskon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tobias Ongile in the 48th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Venancio Frances to make the kick off. When the match clock showed 52 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Alberto Vela sped through Colastiné FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Epifanio Gaskon. If Tobias Ongile had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alberto Vela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Epifanio Gaskon having to interfere. In the last second Epifanio Gaskon throw himself and got hold of the ball when Alberto Vela in the 68thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 75th minute, Tobias Ongile got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ernesto Ferrando hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Tobias Ongile fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Epifanio Gaskon having to interfere. If Victorio Atauri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 86 minutes into the match, Colastiné FC's goalkeeper Epifanio Gaskon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Vela. After 91 minutes of play, Metán AFC's Alberto Vela made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Epifanio Gaskon was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 96th minute, Alberto Vela left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Metán AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3.
